This workshop will be an introduction to stand-up comedy. Everyone has a funny bone you just have to find it! Participants will be using various acting and movement exercises as springboards to creativity in writing their own stand up material. They will discuss what makes a joke funny, who their favourite stand-up comedian is, different types of comedy from observational, one-liners, physical and topical etc. They will generate their own material through looking at their own life experiences such as an embarrassing story, a situation they found funny or a subject they can make funny.
